Plane Crashes

In many books their are plane crashes like in the book i read Flight 29 Down. a plane crash in a book makes bthe story exciting because usually the book will be about survivors and how the characters change while they are stranded somewhere after a plane crash. I like plane crash books because they are very fun to read.

Book Recomedation

In Flight 29 Down, their is a group of kids going on a trip and are flying, when suddenling their plane crashes and they get deserted on an island with no comunication what so ever. Can any of them survive? Can they find help? I really liked this book because I really like books full of adventure and surprises. It is a great book to read because it is't boring, If you like these type of books, I suggest Flight 29 Down to you!

Flight 29 Down Reading Skills

I predict that Nathan will be the leader and tell eveybody what they need to do because he seems like that charcter to me. Some connections in Flight 29 Down are text to self when it says, "But it was too late. The clasp came free and the raft immediately started falling off its mount on the bulkhead. Daley triend to grab it, but the weight of the raft was too much for her. They fell backward into a heap smashing against the rearmost seat f the plane" (Machale/Rogow 20). This relates to me because I feel like I would be the one to break the raft during a plan crash. Another connection is text to text with Hatchet. In both texts there was a plane crash and the characters had to survive with no help. A text to world connection would be every year there are plane crashes where people are stranded and have to survive and that is exactky what happens in Flight 29 Down.

Flight 29 Down Plot

The plot type in Flight 29 Down is a moutain plot because at first they are all happy and having fun on the plane. But then the plane crashes and they all think they are going to die. But they crash right next to an island and they are happy they are alive. But they relize they have no idea where they are and have no communication with anybody to get rescued. This is just the beginning stages of the book so im sure their is more conflict still to come.

Theme of Flight 29 Down

So far, after three chapters that i have read of Flight 29 Down, the theme has been, expect the unexpected,because all the kids were having fun on the plane and messing around. Not thinking anything could happen but then the engine blew out and all the kids were freaking out. "But now that Nathan was looking out the window at the two burning engines as they flew somewhere over the endless ocean" (Machale/ Rogow 16).

Flight 29 by D.J. Machale and Stan Rogow is about a plan that crashes on an island but have no idea where they are at. When the plane crashed, seven people survived. food and water are scarce. The seven survivors are Nathan, Daley, Taylor, Lex, Eric, Jackson, and Melissa.
